Mount Vernon Man Shot
A Mount Vernon man is in stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center after being shot in the early morning hours on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Shortly before 1:40 AM, Sunday, September 4, 2022 Mount Vernon Police Officers responded to the area of 26 Monroe St on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located a man, later identified as 21-year-old Khristian Williams, of Mount Vernon, suffering from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the left upper arm. Williams was transported via ambulance to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where he is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
While recanvassing the area of the shooting for additional evidence, in daylight hours, Mount Vernon Police Detectives, recovered a firearm. The connection of this found weapon and the shooting is being evaluated.
