Our Fire Alarm Division is the "nucleus" of the organization. They are the first line of defense regarding all incidents. They receive, document and triage all incidents of fire and other emergencies and assign resources based on priority, location, and availability of resource. Our Fire Alarm Division manages incidents with responsibility, service and empathy and pride themselves on efficiently and accurately answering all calls-of-service.
The Fire Alarm Division is located in City Hall. Each Platoon (Group) has its own Telecommunicators (Dispatchers). Their responsibilities include call-taking for reports of fire or other emergencies. They also perform many administrative tasks including staff scheduling, fire apparatus resource allocation, information technology tasks and responsibilities regarding our audio visual and portable communications services and equipment.
