The Mount Vernon Fire Department wants all its residence to be safe. As a career fire department our FIRST PRIORITY is the PREVENTION of fire. For this reason we fully understand that the best way to control loss effectively is to involve the community in planning and executing fire prevention programs. Establishing coalitions with business and community groups will prove valuable in managing the fire and emergency challenges in our community.
